Health and Safety Policy

It is the policy of Lighton Electrics Pty Ltd that a safe and healthy working environment exists at all work sites, by maintaining a high standard of Occupational Health, Safety and Welfare for all staff, sub-contractors and the public in accordance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act 2004 and associated legislation.

It is the responsibility of management of this company that all personnel are carefully instructed in correct techniques for performing the job, which will include instruction in safe work practices and procedures and an awareness of all the hazards associated with their duties. Hazard identification and control processes will be an important factor of any work site and staff and sub-contractors will be encouraged to participate in the process to improve the safety of the working environment for all workers.

All identified hazards will be investigated with processes for the control of hazards designed to eliminate or reduce any risk to a level acceptable to employees directly affected. No employees or contractors will be expected to carry out duties which are considered to be unsafe.

Public safety is an important element which will be addressed at all work sites through the hazard identification process. Each site will be assessed for public safety issues and controls put in place which will ensure a high standard of safety for all personnel.

This policy will be reviewed every two years to ensure continuous improvement in our health, safety and environment management.

Environmental Management Policy

LightonElectrics Pty Ltd recognises the importance of maintaining and enhancing the protection of the environment for the benefit of our customers, employees and the community in accordance with the Environmental Protection Act 1970. Our commitment is to deliver our projects in an environmentally responsible manner.

Lighton Electrics Pty Ltd is committed to:

  • Complying with all relevant environmental legislation, regulations and contractual conditions,
  • Preventing pollution of the environment by activities over which we have control,
  • Conducting business with suppliers who also have a commitment to responsible environmental management,
  • Continually improving our environmental management performance by regular reviews and setting realistic environmental objectives and targets.

To achieve our Policy goals we will plan and manage our activities in accordance with best practice environmental management principles.

Compliance with this Policy is mandatory for all employees and contractors and is a condition of employment and contract. Through training and education all employees and contractors will be assisted to meet the objectives of this Policy.

This policy will be reviewed every two years to ensure continuous improvement in our environmental management program.

Quality Management Policy

This policy has been developed by Lighton Electrics Pty. Ltd. to reflect our commitment to the improvement of Quality Service and achieving the highest Quality Standards for our clients. It is our objective to provide our customers with services that consistently meet specified requirements of the customer.

Lighton Electrics Pty Ltd is committed to:

  • Ensuring that our policy commitment and expectations meet or exceed the relative requirements of our clients and to comply with the service requirements of our contracts and current industry practice.
  • Conducting all Electrical Installation and Maintenance work in a manner that is consistent with our policy and contract obligations.
  • Monitoring our work practices and systems approach to ensure that continual improvements in quality performance are achieved.

All staff are required to give total support to the management system by following the documented procedures and for the continual improvement of the system

This policy will be reviewed every two years in order to ensure continuing suitability through the management review process
